About the event
As dusk settles and darkness falls, hear how the Romans lighted up their homes at Arbeia, South Shields' Roman Fort.
These twilight candlelit tours are the perfect way to step back, enjoy and reflect at this special time of year.
The experience includes a tour by our expert guide Sue Balmer, plus free time to explore the reconstructed Commanding Officer's House. Afterwards, enjoy a Q&A session over light refreshments, including hot drinks and mince pies.
